Capmatic's "One Stop Shop" Now Offers Pillar Cap Sealing Equipment -

Partnering with a host of new suppliers, Montreal based OEM, Capmatic® Limited, is paving an easier path for busy engineers and packaging professionals in charge of complete filling line orchestration. Although Capmatic has supplied complete liquid packaging lines for nearly 40 years, they've recently added tablet/solid-dosage & powder packaging machinery solutions to their full array of equipment. Along with that expansion comes a host of new products to supply to their end-users, including induction cap sealing equipment from Pillar.

Capmatic's sales and distribution network covers over 25 sales contacts in North America & 30 agents internationally. Recognized worldwide as a major manufacturer of fully automatic rotary fillers, inline liquid fillers, monoblock fillers/pluggers/cappers, and semi-automatic fillers, cappers and a vast array of labeling machines, Capmatic now supplies induction sealers, powder fillers, check weighers and neck banders, completing their one stop shopping source. From bottle unscrambling to cartoning, they can provide it all.

"Due to the fact that we've started to do more tablet lines and the majority of these lines require induction sealers, we were looking for a reliable source of induction sealing. We chose Pillar basically because they provide very reliable units that are backed with excellent support," says Mr. Michel Mosseau, Director of Sales USA for Capmatic. "We did request proposals from all the major (induction seal equipment) vendors but found the solutions offered by Pillar were competitive in both price and technology."

The Unifoiler series of induction sealers are in demand. Capmatic's customer base includes established manufactures of household cleaning products, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics that rely on induction sealers to uphold the integrity of their products. "People are looking for waterless induction sealers", explains, Michel. "Pillar offers us all of the models necessary, from basic systems to highly engineered integrated verification technology, that satisfies all of our customer needs."

Until recently, Capmatic products were sold exclusively through a marketing partner, but of late, the company branched out to sell direct. According to Mosseau, "Since 2001, we've been doing our own sales and marketing and many times are requested to do turn-key systems. Basically a lot of companies today have down staffed their engineering departments and are looking for companies capable of offering turn-key solutions." Mosseau continues, "That quality machinery was not a challenge for Capmatic. The challenge was developing sound project management systems and production planning that would co-ordinate all the activities. This task is now complete. Capmatic has invested extensively in this area and now customers know on a weekly basis the exact status of their project. This provides immense rewards to our customers saving them time, money and exhausting multiple equipment tracking. Our customer feedback has been extremely positive and it has resulted in a significant increase in repeat orders."

What are the plans for the future? "We just doubled the size of our facility three years ago going from 35,000 sq. ft. to 75,000 sq. ft. We now house a new, technically advanced R&D area and have doubled our service, spare parts and electrical departments" boasts Mr. Mosseau. With the expansion of tablet-fill products, technical upgrades and many more innovations in development, Capmatic expects to supply an increasing number of turnkey systems, while continuing to expand their popular liquid and monoblock solutions. Pillar looks forward to being a key supplier in the sales, support and service of their induction cap sealing needs.
