CBC Coating specializes in the development and application of water based coatings. CBC is capable of coating both sides of a sheet in a single process operation. This operation incorporates Pillar Technologies corona treating equipment.

Narrow-web flexographic printing and packaging specialist Apple Converting has had an eye on being bigger, better, and more diversified since its inception 21 years ago as Apple Tape and Label. With additions to process capabilities, and an expansion of its film business, the Norwich, N.Y.-based converter recently went shopping for improved corona treating capabilities, and returned from CMM with receipts for four Pillar Technologies Unitized Narrow Web/P6000 combination treating units.

Hartland WI – Pillar Technologies’ Director of Technology, Mr. Richard Washebeck, and Mechanical Design Supervisor, Robert Kleinschmidt, were inducted into the ITW Patent Society in recognition of their proprietary Narrow Web Corona Treater design. Founded in 1970, the ITW Patent Society is an honorary organization initiated for the purpose of recognizing those employees who have made important creative patentable contributions that have enhanced the commercial purpose and success of ITW.

When Sam Swartz was hired as Plant Manager for Grand Rapids, MI based Profile Industrial Products in May of 1998, his purpose was to purchase and install everything necessary to make a custom blown film extrusion plant. Owner Steve Ehmann, along with three other partners, gave Sam a budget, and the rest of the purchasing decisions were up to him. With a July start-up scheduled, there was no time to waste.
